Longevity, self-imposed limits, and stress healing

Frederic recalls that when their conversations began there was much more talk about extending lifespan, and says he knows nobody actually playing with those limits - even people who enjoy their lives still subscribe to the supposed general human limits.

The Wonders agree about the average person, note some reach about 120 (mostly in Japan, from a rice-based diet) but by the same approach, and say a very few in the world have extended their lives yet ultimately succumb to the construct that reality is limited.

This is why they have spoken to humanity for so long: reality is limited only to the degree one makes it so.

If Frederic truly knew himself as limitless he would see the extent to which his choices affect his health and longevity - the stress of living, accumulated since childhood, has already shortened it, and understanding that would let him release the stress and reclaim the longevity.

His cells are easily capable of replenishing themselves with the vital energy of life, but the mind interferes, insisting on a fixed lifespan and that life and death are part of living; he carries a psychology that one is born, lives and dies, and his choices flow from it, itself stressing his life - and even saying 'I would like to live longer' stresses the point.

Considerable stress healing is required before he can let go of control completely and realize himself as a command essence with no limits but self-imposed ones.

Asked what stress healing means, they describe it as beginning with everything currently stressing him, then discovering more beneath it, then more again, layer after layer, so the deeper he goes the longer it takes to see the stress that exists.

Even the stress of aging has affected him: thinking that a given decline is normal for his age is false - it is normal only because people accept its normality, whereas the body's genetics were always intended as a long-term vessel, with environmental dynamics and the mind's judgments having shortened that.

Frederic asks whether stress is basically resistance, which they confirm, joking about the Borg's 'resistance is futile'.

They add that no individual is currently at that level; some are beginning to pass 120 but do not advertise it, since their fear of being subjected to scientific experimentation is itself a stress affecting them.

Work on one part of life always reveals another part needing work.
