What am I really interested in: the unimportance of physical identity and exploring subconscious talents

Frederic says he has been asking himself what he is really interested in and does not yet know the answer.

After a joke about nose picking, the Wonders say the question is not important - it matters only to the ego and the mind.

They ask whether it would really matter if he did not have the body he has, if he had hair, were six foot four, or were female: none of it is important except to the mind, the ego and his self-identity, which is how he relates to everyone around him and how people recognize one another.

But people recognize only the outer layers, not each other's essence - like noticing a coat rather than the person wearing it.

Frederic clarifies that his question was what he is interested in beyond the incarnation, observing that so much is tied to mind, incarnation, ego and learning, and that it comes down to enjoying the moment.

The Wonders agree that this is truly what it comes down to, and add that from that moment one can say 'let's explore' and begin again.

They pose the idea of restarting one's life over and over with a new iteration each time, being interested in something different in each - which is in effect what he has done across numerous incarnations as man and woman, mother, brother, son, father, soldier, sailor, mistress, prostitute - most of which resides in his subconscious rather than conscious awareness.

If he wants to know more about his lives, his talents and how to develop them, they suggest exploring from a subconscious level all the talents already within him that he is not consciously aware of, and having fun with it.

His daughter briefly joins to say hello.

The closing counsel is not to let his mind find him bored or limited: if it does, it is because he is not commanding it and it keeps choosing to see the same thing over and over - at which point he should command it in a different direction.
