The subconscious mind as a tool and as a source of sabotage

Frederic recalls earlier guidance about living more from the subconscious so that the Self expresses itself through the subconscious mind, and asks about the part of him that sabotages his expansion.

The Wonders describe the subconscious as an amazing but broadly directed tool: a repository of all the awareness, experience and knowledge gathered over many lifetimes, and also of the psychologies and belief structures applied over those lifetimes.

Out of these, a number of parts have been created, each pertaining to a lifetime and each designed to navigate the fear, judgment and guilt the mind uses.

Exploring the subconscious through dreams, meditation or reflection lets him move without the limits of present-life fear, judgment and guilt and can resolve issues far more easily than working around them consciously; unlike the conscious mind, however, it is not easily directed.

The sabotage arises because such parts infuse themselves into daily conscious decisions.

The remedy is for him, not merely his mind, to become sufficiently aware to observe where information is coming from and, when it comes from the subconscious, to direct it to stop supplying it.

That only slows things temporarily, so the fear-created part must then be resolved and matured, so it can recognize that he is no longer the person he was when it was created and see the beauty of who he now is.

Otherwise he believes he is exploring while a part of him refuses because it is too scary.

When he notes the mind is good at obfuscating and hiding this, they agree that this is what the mind does, and say the key is to observe all the time and without judgment, so that he sees it more quickly or at least can address it.
