Frederick asks which of the questions he has asked across all their conversations was the most interesting; the Wonders reply it was 'How can I choose freely?', with the answer 'Choose.' The most puzzling question, they say, was 'How do I walk on water?', asked in the year 2012 — still in his future — to which the answer was again 'choose', with the how-to left for him to puzzle through.

They decline to say whether he manifested it, as that would interfere with his free will, but confirm he has not managed it in the past, has explored it before and will explore it again.

They describe all of this as 'mind candy' that feeds the mind's appetite for puzzles because simply choosing would be too easy; once he chooses again and again he will experience true joy and discover that fun is only an illusion of joy.
